TERRORISM: “The use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims”/”The systematic use of TERROR (“intense dread, fright or fear”), especially as means of COERCION (“the practice of forcing another party to behave in an involuntary manner, by use of threats, rewards, intimidation, or some other form of pressure or force.”).
This is happening right now, right here, in America. The people of New York City are under attack, and their rights are being completely violated. This is just one of several videos that have surfaced on the internet over the past week. These protesters are completely unarmed, non-violent citizens, exercising their first amendment right of Free Assembly (“the individual right to come together and collectively express, promote, pursue and defend common interests”). They are being unlawfully brutalized, arrested, and detained by the NYPD. Not only that, but there has been a complete media blackout regarding this Non-Violent Occupation of Wall Street, undoubtedly in attempts to minimize knowledge of the entire situation, as well as limit potential support for the cause, and ultimately ignore the voice of the American people. In fact, it’s the media blackout that makes this whole thing so terrifying, because you have to ask yourself, who is pulling the strings? Why wouldn’t they want me to know about my fellow Americans being violently stripped of their Constitutional Rights? Especially when the people being violated are voicing the same feelings of disgust and exasperation that I have regarding the growing influence Corporate Entities have over our government.
The Police have just been caught red-handed, breaking the law and violating constitutional rights, on video! Who will hold them accountable? Who will take responsibility for this heinous betrayal of the American people? We can no longer ignore the man behind the curtain. We, the American people, are under attack. Our Collective Voice is a threat to those that would attempt to dominate us, and they are lashing out with authoritarian terrorist attacks in attempts to suppress that voice. We must stand together and demand our right to live free of Corporate Rule!
